Mammootty's White: First Day Box Office Collection

By Akhila Menon

White, the Mammootty starrer hit the theatres on 29th July, Friday. Despite the huge expectations, the movie which marked the Mollywood debut of Huma Qureshi, has ended up as a huge disappointment.

As per the reports from the trade analysts, White has already been declared as a box office disaster. Shockingly, the Mammootty movie just collected 29 Lakhs on its releasing day, from the Kerala box office.

It is undoubtedly one of the poorest box office openings ever made by a superstar movie, in the history of Mollywood. Mammootty's last release Kasaba is the Malayalam movie, which has made the highest initial collection.

Acha Dhin, the Eid release of 2015 is the Mammootty movie, which made the lowest initial collection in the recent times. The movie just made an initial collection of 18 Lakhs on its release day, from Kerala.

White, which is directed by Uday Ananthan, failed to impress both the audiences and critics. It is considered as one of the most disappointing films in the megastar's career and Malayalam cinema in the recent past.

Mammootty is one of those actors who have faced several critically low phases in his career. We are quite sure that the actor will soon bounce back with a great box office success.
