WOW! Manju Warrier To Play Epic Character Shakuntala!

Manju Warrier, the star actress is all set for yet another experiment in her acting career. As per the latest updates, Manju is planning to make her stage drama debut soon.

Interestingly, she will be playing the epic character Shakuntala, in the drama adaptation of Kalidasa's Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The play is directed by the veteran theatre director Kavalam Narayana Panicker.

If the reports are to be true, Manju Warrier is learning Sanskrit, for the perfection of her role. The actress is planning to take a short break from films after completing her current projects, for the play.

Kavalam Narayana Panicker states that Manju Warrier is the perfect choice to play Shakuntala. It is a very strong character which demands a spontaneous actress who can easily connect with the audiences.

He feels that the theatre play will help the actress to reinvent herself as both an actress and a stage performer. He states that Manju's experience as a professional dancer will make things easier for her.

Manju Warrier is not the first movie star to perform a stage play. Mukesh is another actor who is highly active in theatre plays. Mohanlal has also acted in a theatre play named Chayamukhi, earlier.
