The
superstars
of
Malayalam
film
industry
have
given
us
some
mass
entertainers.
Admit
it
or
not,
we
all
do
love
to
watch
our
stars
in
a
mass
hero
role
who
bashes
the
villains
while
mouthing
some
heroic
dialogues.
But,
there
have
been
certain
films
of
the
stars
of
Mollywood,
that
simply
didn't
meet
the
expectations.
Here,
we
list
certain
mass
movies
of
superstars,
which
disappointed
us
to
the
core.
Thandavam
Thandavam,
marked
the
reunion
of
Mohanlal-Shaji
Kailas
team,
which
gave
us
the
blockbuster
film
Narasimham.
Expectations
were
sky
high
as
the
film
was
pitted
to
be
a
mass
action
entertainer,
in
the
lines
of
Narasimham.
Much
to
the
disappointment
of
fans,
the
film
went
on
to
be
a
failure.
Nazrani
Mammootty
joining
hands
with
Joshiy,
after
a
long
gap
and
that
too
for
a
film,
which
has
its
script
written
by
Ranjith.
These
reasons
were
more
than
enough
for
the
filmgoers
to
expect
something
big
from
the
team.
But
Nazrani,
failed
to
meet
the
expectations
of
the
viewers.
Laila
O
Laila
Laila
O
Laila
had
generated
a
huge
pre-release
hype.
The
film,
directed
by
Joshiy
boasted
of
having
some
well-choreographed
action
scenes,
with
Mohanlal
in
full
form.
But,
the
film
went
down
as
a
huge
disappointment.
Dubai
Dubai
was
one
of
the
costliest
films
of
those
times.
Audiences
expected
a
lot
from
the
team
of
Joshiy,
Renji
Panikker
and
Mammootty.
The
fim
failed
terribly
at
the
box
office.
The
Don
Shaji
Kailas
tried
to
give
an
image
makeover
to
Dileep
with
the
film
The
Don,
in
which
the
actor
had
donned
a
mass
hero
avatar.
The
film
didn't
do
any
good
to
the
actor
and
the
director
and
eventually,
went
down
to
become
a
flop.
Hero
Hero,
marked
the
reunion
of
Prithviraj
and
Diphan,
after
the
commercially
successful
film
Puthiya
Mukham.
It
is
quite
natural
to
have
expectations
from
the
team
when
they
decide
to
reunite
for
an
action
entertainer.
Hero,
but
was
just
a
shade
of
Puthiya
Mukham
and
had
nothing
new
to
offer
to
the
audiences.
There
are
numerous
mass
movies
that
disappointed
us
and
the
above
list
is
just
a
teaser
and
contains
the
only
prominent
ones
of
the
actors.
Well,
this
weekend
is
all
set
to
witness
the
release
of
two
mass
entertainers,
in
the
form
of
Puli
Murugan
and
Thoppil
Joppan.
Puli
Murugan
has
Mohanlal
in
the
role
of
a
hunter
whereas
Thoppil
Joppan
features
Mammootty
in
the
role
of
an
'achayan',
who
is
an
alocholic.
Both
the
films
would
hit
the
theatres
on
October
7,
2016
and
we
genuinely
hope
that
both
the
films
would
turn
out
to
be
quality
entertainers.
