Now, the rumour mills suggest that Pulimurugan might have a sequel. Even though the team is not planning to have a sequel immediately, director Vysakh confirmed that they might go for it, if things fall in place.
The director states that a sequel is only possible if all the team members possess the same kind of energy they had, during working on Pulimurugan. But Vysakh didn't deny the possibilities of Pulimurugan 2.
Mohanlal had allotted a 150 days long call sheet for Pulimurugan, which portrayed him in an action avathar. The actor mesmerised both the team and audiences, with his outstanding action sequences in the movie.
The stunt sequences are choreographed by Peter Hein, the highest-paid stunt director of contemporary Indian cinema. It was the Malayalam movie debut for Peter, who has worked for several popular films including Baahubali.
Kamalinee Mukherjee essayed the female lead in the movie, which had Jagapati Babu as the main antagonist. Pulimurugan is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam for Mulakupadam Films.
