The month of November, was a decent one for Malayalam film indutry. The number of Malayalam movie releases were limited and at the same time, some of the movies that released in the month of October, continued their good run.
Three mainstream Malayalam movies had hit the theatres in Novemebr. Biju Menon starrer Swarna Kaduva, Nadirshah's Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan and Don Max's debut directorial venture 10 Kalpanakal, were the major releases of the month.

Movie Of The Month
Well, there were only a very few releases in the past month and among the releases Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan is the one that emerged as the big winner at the box office. The film, which is a perfect family entertainer, is cruising ahead at the box office and is on the way to become a blockbuster. Yet again, Nadirshah has struck gold as a film-maker.
Star Of The Month
Well, we must give due credits to this actor, who has given an impressive performance in the film Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. Vishnu Unnikrishnan, has done extremely well as the lead hero in the movie and he deserves the success that he is enjoying now. The actor, definitely is the star of the month.
Performer Of The Month
Swarna Kaduva, might not have done well as expected, but definitely, the film had a power packed-performance from Biju Menon. The actor excelled as Rini Iype Maattummel, a character with negative shades and he is definitely, the performer of the month.
News Of The Month
No prizes for guessing the big news of the month. Dileep and Kavya Madhavan tied the knot on November 25, 2016. The news came as a big surprise to the people in Kerala.
Song Of The Month
Well, the makers of the upcoming film Poomaram did release one of the songs of the film. The song Njaanum Njaanum Ente Aalum.. was an instant hit and has created some records in the number of Youtube views.
Comebacks Of The Month
Meera Jasmine made a comeback to Malayalam films, with the most recent film 10 Kalpanakal, directed by Don Max. The actress essays an important role in the film and she has done a good job in the role of a police officer. Indeed, it is a good comeback made by the actress. Similarly, actor Salim Kumar too made a comeback to comedy roles with Kattappanayile Rithwik Roshan. The actor is back to full form and is at entertaining best in the movie.
In fact, the release dates of some of the movies, which were exepcted to hit the theatres in November were pushed ahead, owing to the note ban that came in to effect in the start of Novemeber.
Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan, which released in the month of October, had a fantastic run in November, as well. The film was partially hit by the note ban, but picked up in the later days.
Pulimurugan has crossed the 125-Crore mark and is expected to touch the 150-Crore mark soon. Vineeth Sreenivasan's debut production venture Aanandam also continues its decent show at the box office especially in multiplex centres.
