The third schedule shooting of Nivin Pauly's upcoming movie Sakhavu was progressing in Peerumedu, from the past few days. But now, the shoot has been halted due to the unavailability of notes.
According to sources close to Sakhavu, the team needs about 3.5 Lakhs per day for the expenditure. About 2.5 Lakhs, which includes the payments of the various technicians can be paid through cheques.
But, about 1 Lakh of cash is required for the various expenses of the catering department. But, the producer can only withdraw 24k per week. So, the team had no other options and decided to stop the shooting.
Reportedly, Sakhavu team is planning to resume the shooting once the things get back to normal. So, the team may not be able to release the movie on the pre-fixed release date.
Several movie projects that are in the final stage of production have also been put on halt indefinitely due to the note ban. The movies, which were slated to be released for Christmas, are also in trouble.
As per the reports, most of the Christmas releases, including Mammootty's The Great Father and Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, will not hit the theatres on the expected dates.
