Oppam Beats Jacobinte Swargarajyam To Be The Biggest Hit Of 2016!

Oppam, the Mohanlal starrer has earned the blockbuster tag within the first two weeks of its release. Now, the movie has beaten Nivin Pauly's Jacobinte Swargarajyam to be the biggest hit of 2016.

According to latest updates from the trade analysts, Oppam, which is directed by Priyadarshan, has made a total gross collection of more than 22 Crores, within the first 13 days of its release.

Jacobinte Swargarajyam, the movie which is directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, had emerged as the biggest hit of 2016, by earning 22 Crores gross collection within its total run at the Kerala box office.

Now, Oppam has succeeded in surpassing the collection of JSR, within such a short period of time. The movie is expected cross 30-Crore mark, within the first three weeks of its release.

Oppam also broke the records created by Premam, as the fastest Malayalam film to cross the 10 and 20 Crores marks. The movie crossed 10 Crores within the first 6 days and 20 Crores within the first 11 days.

It has also emerged as the second Malayalam movie to cross 1 Crore collection from Ernakulam multiplexes. The movie has also emerged as the highest grossing film of Trivandrum city, so far.
