Anjali
Menon,
the
writer-director,
was
harshly
criticised
by
Prathap
Pothen,
and
blamed
for
the
shelving
for
his
directorial
comeback.
The
Dulquer
Salmaan
starrer
was
shelved
due
to
the
fallout
between
Prathap
and
Anjali.
Now,
it
seems
like
things
have
taken
a
different
turn.
If
the
reports
are
to
be
true,
Prathap
Pothen's
allegations
have
deeply
hurt
Anjali
Menon
and
the
National
award-winner
has
decided
to
direct
the
project,
herself.
Prathap
was
supposed
to
make
his
directorial
comeback,
with
the
Dulquer
Salmaan
movie
scripted
by
Anjali
Menon.
The
project
was
about
to
be
produced
by
the
legendary
production
banner,
Supriya
Films.
Rajiv
Menon
was
roped
in
to
handle
the
cinematography
in
the
project,
which
also
had
R
Madhavan
in
a
key
role.
But,
later
Prathap
Pothen
announced
that
the
project
has
been
dropped,
to
the
much
shock
of
the
industry.
The
director
stated
that
he
decided
to
drop
the
project
due
to
Anjali
Menon's
poor
screenplay.
But
Anjali
reacted
to
his
comments,
stating
that
it
is
immaterial
to
respond
to
such
allegations.
Several
industry
members
had
immediately
come
forward
for
Anjali's
support,
pointing
out
that
she
has
already
proven
her
talent
as
a
writer
with
the
movies
Manjadikuru,
Usthad
Hotel,
and
Bangalore
Days.
They
also
pointed
out
that
Prathap
Pothen's
anger
management
issue
is
infamous
among
the
industry
insiders.
However,
both
the
industry
members
and
movie
fanatics
are
eagerly
waiting
for
Anjali
to
revive
the
project.
