Priyadarshan-Mohanlal
team
has
gifted
the
Malayalam
audiences
some
precious
films,
which
have
went
on
to
carve
a
space
for
themselves
in
the
classics
of
Malayalam
cinema.
Most
recently,
the
team
joined
for
the
film
Oppam,
which
continues
its
strong
show
at
the
box
office.
The
film
is
cruising
ahead
at
the
box
office
and
by
all
probabilities,
the
film
would
turn
out
be
the
biggest
hit
of
the
duo.
The
team
has
worked
together
in
more
than
30
movies
and
most
of
them
turned
out
to
be
hits.
In
an
interview
given
to
popular
magazine,
Star
N
Style,
director
Priyadarshan
opened
up
about
one
such
film
of
the
team,
which
he
would
like
to
remake.
The
director
stated
that
he
would
like
to
remake
the
1989
film
Vandanam,
which
had
Mohanlal,
Mukesh
and
Girija
Shettar
in
the
lead
roles.
The
film
had
a
tragic
climax
and
it
had
left
the
viewers
disappointed,
back
then.
Priyadarshan
wishes
to
able
to
change
the
climax
and
make
the
movie
once
again.
Vandanam,
directed
by
Priyadarshan
was
a
perfect
entertainer
with
comedy,
sentiments
and
thrilling
elements
mixed
in
the
right
proportions.
The
film
wasn't
a
big
success
at
the
box
office,
mainly
because
of
the
negative
climax
that
it
had.
But,
later,
the
film
did
win
wide
appreciations,
especially
after
television
screenings.
The
film
has
had
a
cult
fan
following,
since
then.
