Well, last Friday witnessed the release of Both Mammootty and Mohanlal's films. It is after a big break that both the actors' films are releasing on the same date.
Pulimurugan Creates A New record
Pulimurugan, which released in 160 theatres across Kerala, has reportedly broken some records straight away. According to certain reports, the film has grossed 4 Crores in the opening day itself, thus breaking the record set by the Mammootty starrer Kasaba.
Thoppil Joppan Gets A Decent Opening
Thoppil Joppan, which hit the theatres on October 7, 2016 did get a decent opening at the box office. The film, on its first day, did make a gross collection of 1.55 Crores from Kerala box office.
Kavi Uddheshichathu Gets Good Reviews
Kavi Uddheshichathu, which has Asif Ali, Biju Menon and Narain in the lead roles, was the other major release of the past week. The film, which hit the theatres on October 8, 2016 has opened to good reviews from the audiences.
Oppam Continues To Storm The Box Office
Oppam, which released during the Onam season is continuing its impressive show at the box office. The film, still holds on to a good number of theatres, despite the release of many big movies.
The Onam season was also a good one for Malayalam film industry as most of the films released during the time, turned out to be big hits. Films like Oppam, Oozham, Oru Muthassi Gadha etc., did win wide appreciations and fetched gold at the box office.
In all probabilities, the Pooja season would also turn out to be good for Mollywood. All the major releases of this week have garnered praises from the audiences.
Apart from the Malayalam movies, certain other language movies also hit the theatres. Sivakarthikeyan starrer Remo and Prabhu Deva's Devi were the major Tamil movie releases.
Apart from them, Telugu remake of Premam, which has Naga Chaitanya, Shruthi Hassan, Madonna Sebastian and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles also got released in certain theatres in Kerala.
