Mohanlal, the complete actor has been receiving wide appreciations for his electrifying performance in Pulimurugan, the recent blockbuster. Pulimurugan has been considered as a turning point the 36-year-old career of the actor.
But shockingly, some industry members, including a senior director had advised Mohanlal to reject the movie. Some very close industry friends of the actor have seriously thought the movie would turn out to be another disaster.
Udaykrishna, the writer of the film recently admitted that a famous director advised Mohanlal not to take a huge risk like Pulimurugan, at this point of his career. But, the actor chose to ignore them and stayed with the project.
Some senior industry members even advised writer Udaykrishna and director Vysakh, not to proceed with the project, as the risks are high. But Mohanlal is a person who sticks into a project once he has committed it, no matter what.
The actor obviously had his share of doubts, regarding the possibility of shooting such heavy fight sequences. But at the same time, Mohanlal was extremely excited about shooting with a wild animal, for the first time.
But the movie delayed for a long time, due to Mohanlal's other commitments. Meanwhile, a rumour which suggested that the actor has backed out from Pulimurugan and the project is shelved, started doing rounds.
But team had the strong support of Mohanlal's close associate Antony Perumbavoor, which made things much easier. The team successfully completed the shoot and released the movie despite the hurdles, and now it is creating wonders at the box office.
