After a successful stint as a television host, Govind Padmasoorya is all set to get back to films. As the first step, the actor would be seen in an important role in Ranjith Sankar's upcoming venture Pretham.
Govind Padmasoorya plays a character named Shibu Majeed in the film. The actor would be seen in a full-length role along with Jayasurya, Aju Varghese and Sharafudheen in the film.
Recently, director of the film Ranjith Sankar took to Facebook to write about the dedication level and impressive work of Govind Padmasoorya. The film-maker showered praises on the actor.

According to Ranjith Sankar, the character of Shibu Majeed needed lots of preparation as the character is a Zumba instructor and the actor invested lot of time learning Zumba and Guitar.
He also suggested that Govind Padmasoorya has an amazing script sense as the actor did suggest few changes and tweaks in the script, which eventually turned out to be good for the film.
The director hopes that the film would be a big break for GP and the actor would be much appreciated for his work in the film.
Pretham falls in to the genre of horror-comedy and has Jayasurya in the lead role, playing the role of a mentalist named Don Bosco. Trailers of the film got released recently and has raised the expectation level of the film.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on August 12, 2016.
