Guess Who Recommended Sai Pallavi For Mani Ratnam Movie!

Sai Pallavi, the dear Malar miss of Mollywood, will soon debut in her mother tongue, Tamil with the upcoming Mani Ratnam movie. Reportedly, Pallavi is pairing up with Karthi in the movie.

As per the sources close to the project, it was the veteran actress Suhasini Mani Ratnam, who is the wife of Mani Ratnam, who recommended Sai Pallavi for the role.

Suhasini, who watched Premam, was highly impressed with both the movie and its lead actress, Sai Pallavi. She immediately recommended her to Mani Ratnam, who was searching for a new face.

Mani Ratnam wanted to cast a simple yet attractive girl who can fluently speak Tamil, for the movie. Initially, popular actresses like Keerthi Suresh and Nithya Menen were considered for the role.

Sai Pallavi was later auditioned for the role, and Mani Ratnam was impressed with her screen test. The role played by Karthi was originally written for our young actor Dulquer Salmaan.

But he couldn't sign the project due to his highly busy schedule. Instead, Sai Pallavi is pairing up with Dulquer Salmaan in the upcoming Sameer Thahir movie Kali, which will be released in March.
