Aashirvad Cinemas, that ventured in to the Malayalam film industry with the Mohanlal starrer blockbuster movie Narasimham, is now one of the leading production banners of the Malayalam film industry.
Headed by Antony Perumbavoor, the banner is all set to take the Malayalam film industry to another level, with some prestigious big budget projects.
In a recent press meet, which was called by team Lucifer to officially announce the Mohanlal starrer, Antony Perumbavoor opened up about the 5 projects that are being planned by the banner.

Lucifer
This definitely has to be the most awaited project of Aashirvad Cinemas. The banner will fund this prestigious project, which would mark the directorial debut of Prithviraj,featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. Lucifer scripted by Murali Gopy would go on floors in May 2018.
Odiyan
Odiyan will go on floors in the month of June. The film, which marks the directorial debut of V A Shrikumar Menon, will be a big budget venture by Aashirvad Cinemas. Mohanlal will be seen in a real different role in this film, which will be one of the most expensive movies of the banner, so far. Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj will essay pivotal roles in the movie.
Mohanlal-Shaji Kailas-Renji Panicker Movie
This definitely has come as a big surprise to the fans of Mohanlal. Aashirvad Cinemas will be funding this venture, which marks the first time association of Mohanlal and the firebrand combo of Renji Panicker and Shaji Kailas. The film is only in its planning stage.
Mohanlal-Lal Jose Movie
One of the most awaited actor-director combos is all set to come forward with a movie. Yes, we are talking about Lal Jose and Mohanlal, who will unite for a movie soon with Aashirvad Cinemas. The film is expected to go on floors in 2018.
Jeethu Joseph – Pranav Mohanlal Movie
Well, this is the only non-Mohanlal starrer among the 5 upcoming projects of Aashirvad Cinemas. This yet-to-be-titled film, which will be a thriller, would mark the debut of Pranav Mohanlal as a lead hero. The film is expected to go on floors, this year itself.
Well, each of the upcoming projects of the banner are worth waiting for. Most importantly, certain projects are sure to take Malayalam film industry to another level. Especially, the Mohanlal starrer Odiyan, which is expected to be a different experience to the audiences.
The previous venture of Aashirvad Cinemas was Mohanlal's Oppam, directed by Priyadarshan. The film, which released during the Onam season of 2016 was a big success at the box office. The film went on to become one of the most successful films of the banner.
