After 1971 Beyond Borders: Mohanlal & Major Ravi Wiil Team Up For The Next In The Mahadevan Series!

Mohanlal starrer 1971 Beyond Borders, directed by Major Ravi, did hit the theatres on April 7, 2016. The film, which is the fourth installment in the movies of Mahadevan series, has opened to mixed response at the box office.

1971 Beyond Borders has Mohanlal in dual roles. The actor appears as Mahadevan and his father Sahadevan in the war drama set in the 1970s.

Now, here is a big news for all the fans of the movies of Mahadevan series. The duo will be back with a fifth installment of the series, in which Mohanlal will yet again be seen as Mahadevan.

In a recent interview given to Mathrubhumi, Major Ravi confirmed that the character Mahadevan will make a comeback soon. According to the director, in the next film of the series, Mahadevan will be in a mission to save a group of army people who are held captive in a foreign country by a group of terrorists.

Meanwhile, the box office collections of 1971 Beyond Borders aren't that big and definitely, much more was expected from this Mohanlal starrer.

On the other hand, Major Ravi's next directorial venture is expected to be a love story, which will have actor Nivin Pauly in the lead role.
