Asha Sharath Roped In For Sugathakumari Biopic!

It seems like biopics are trending in Mollywood. After the recently announced biopic based on the life of Kamala Das, Malayalam film industry is all set to witness another biopic.

Reportedly, a biopic based on the life of popular poetess Sugathakumari is being planned and actress Asha Sharath has been roped in to play the lead role in the film.

The upcoming biopic has been titled as Pavizhamally and the film will be directed by debutant Suresh Manimala, who is also a music director. The film will have its script penned by the director himself.

According to the reports, Asha Sharath will portray a character named Parvathy teacher in the movie and the makers won't be using the original name of Sugathakumari. The upcoming film is said to be based on the certain incidents from Sugathakumari's life. The film is expected to go on floors by April.

Meanwhile, Asha Sharath has two big projects in the pipeline. The actress will be seen essaying on of the leading ladies in upcoming Syam Dhar movie that features Mammootty in the lead role. She also essays an important role in P T Kunju Muhammed's Viswasapoorvam Mansoor.
