Manju Warrier is gearing up for the release of her latest film C/O Saira Banu, which will hit the theatres tomorrow (March 17, 2017). The film, is the first release of the actress in 2017 and the audiences have pinned high hopes on the movie.

It is after a gap of close to 8 months that a film of Manju Warrier is hitting the theatres. The actress would definitely want to begin the year with a big hit.

Karinkunnam Sixes (2016)

Karinkunnam Sixes, which had Manju Warrier in the lead role as a Volleyball Coach, was a movie in the lines of a sports drama. While certain elements of the film worked out pretty well, certain others didn't. Nevertheless, Manju Warriergave a decent performance while portraying the role of Vandana.

Box Office Verdict: Average

Vettah (2016)

For the first time, we got to see Manju Warrier in the Khaki avatar, through Rajesh Pillai's Vettah. The film, which also featured Kunchacko Boban and Indrajith in the lead roles was a thriller. The film, did fetch some decent reviews, but unfortunately couldn't make it really big at the box office.

Jo And The Boy (2015)

Much was expected from this film, which was the second directorial venture of Philips And The Monkey Pen fame Rojin Abraham. We got to see Manju Warrier in a very refreshing role and that was the sole positive of this movie, which failed to connect well with the audiences. The movie also faced stiff competition from other movies like Charlie, Two Countries, Adi Kapyare Kootamani etc.

Box Office Verdict: Flop

Rani Padmini (2015)

After a long wait, Mollywood got a road movie in the form of Rani Padmini, which had two of the most talented actresses of Mollywood on board. Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal handled the lead roles in this film, directed by Aashiq Abu. Disappointingly, the film didn't meet the expectations of the audiences.

Box Office Verdict: Flop

Ennum Eppozhum (2015)

We got to see Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, back together on screen, with this film, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad. In fact, the combo of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier was the biggest positive of this movie. The film did well among the family audiences.

Box Office Verdict: Hit



Apart from the above mentioned movies, Manju Warrier was also a part of the 2016 film Paavada, in which Manju Warrier did a special cameo. The film was a big hit at the box office.

Well, it is a fact that a real big hit hasn't come her way in the recent times. With C/O Saira Banu, directed by Antony Sony, the actress would definitely hope to break that jinx. The film also features Shane Nigam and Amala Akkineni in the lead roles.
