Kali was a film the belonged to a genre different from the usual ones. The film had Dulquer Salmaan in the role of a youngster, but even here he got to play a role with a difference. He portrayed the role of a young guy who faces anger management issues. It really was a tough task for the actor since the role demanded more than just being the cliched angry young man. The sudden emotional changes, the frustration of the character and more importantly, the helplessness of Sidharth was brought to screen effectively by Dulquer Salmaan.
Charlie In Charlie
Well, this was the film that went on to become a game changer in Dulquer Salmaan's acting career. Charlie, was an unconventional character and is a kind of a person who isn't easy to find. The role demanded him to be casual and intense, at the same time. The energy level of the character touched a new level and guess what, Dulquer Salmaan simply stole the show. Kudos to him for deciding to do this movie and role that was quite different from his previous ones.
Aadi In OK Kanmani
Dulquer Salmaan was at his comfort zone in this film. He played the role of an uber cool guy, who has a different take on relationships. The role of Aadi was safe in his hands and the movie won him lot of fans. Well, we couldn't have imagined anybody other than Dulquer Salmaan in this particular role.
Balan K Nair In 100 Days Of Love
Probably, this was the only disappointing movie among the five. The actor played the role of a lover boy, something which he had done in the past. He was brilliant in his role but it didn't offer anything new to the actor. But still, we got see the brilliance of the actor in him, especially where he had to do the drunken act. He also excelled in the scenes where he appeared in dual roles.
Well, the above list definitely stands as a testimony to the fact that he is exploring the actor in him and he doesn't want to confine to certain set of roles alone.
