Thoovalsparsham (1990)
It is a delight to watch Thoovalsparsham even now. In the film, director Kamal narrated the story of three youngsters who find a baby on their doorsteps one day. This fun-filled entertainer had Mukesh and Jayaram in full-form and their combination sequences and comedy counters were spot on. Add to it, the presence of Saikumar, the film earned an evergreen status.
Marupuram (1990)
Marupuram, directed by Viji Thampy featured Jayaram in the lead role. Mukesh too, played an equally important role in this film, which was in the lines of a thriller. The best part of the movie is the first half in which there are loads of comic sequences involving Jayaram and Mukesh.
Maalayogam (1990)
Jayaram and Mukesh appeared as Rameshan and Jose respectively, in this film, directed by Sibi Malayil. To find a solution for their unemployment, Jose and Rameshan start a marriage bureau and what happens rest has been interestingly narrated in the movie. The film had its own share of emotional and comedy sequences and the lead actors were the high points of the movie.
Aayushkaalam (1992)
Once again, director Kamal brought together Jayaram and Mukesh for this film, which was inspired from a Hollywood film. Mukesh played the role of Balakrishnan, who gets the heart from an accident victim, played by Jayaram. The film, with its own share of comedy and sentimental sequences, is one of the memorable movies of the 90's.
Friends (1999)
Well, nothing much has to be said about this film, which was a big blockbuster of those days. The film had both the actors playing thick friends, along with Sreenivasan. Importantly, the film was more about the friendship between Aravindan and Chanthu, played by Jayaram and Mukesh respectively.
In fact, Jayaram and Mukesh have appeared together in more than 10 films. Other prominent films in which they shared the screen space include movies like Ezhunnallathu, Nanma Niranjavan Sreenivasan, Bandhukkal Shatrukkal, Customs Diary, Vakkaalathu Narayanankutty and most recently in Lucky Star.
Interestingly, Mukesh had appeared in an important role in Jayaram's debut acting venture Aparan, directed by P Padmarajan.
