Dulquer Salmaan's Comrade In America Bags A Clean 'U' Certificate

Comrade In America, the upcoming romantic entertainer which stars Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is all set to hit the theatres on May 5. The movie, which is directed by Amal Neerad, recently finished the censor formalities.

As per the reports, CIA has bagged a clean U certificate from the censor board and has a total run time of 2 hours 14 minutes. However, the Dulquer fans are quite excited about the news and are waiting for the release of the movie.

CIA marks the second collaboration of Dulquer Salmaan with film-maker Amal Neerad. The duo has earlier joined hands for the segment Kullante Bharya, in the acclaimed anthology movie 5 Sundarikal.

Dulquer Salmaan appears as Aji John, a Pala-based young man who is a strong follower of Communist ideologies. He falls in love with a young woman whom he meets at his hometown and later travels to the USA in search of her.

Debutante Karthika Muralidharan essays the female lead opposite Dulquer Salmaan in the movie. Karthika, who is the daughter of the renowned cinematographer CK Muralidharan, is a dancer and acting student.

Shibin Francis, the Paavada fame writer has penned the screenplay for the movie. Gopi Sundar composes the music. Ranadive is the director of photography. CIA is produced by Amal Neerad Productions and Anwar Rasheed Entertainment.
