Prithviraj is back to the league of big hits. And reason to state that affirmatively, is his recent release Ezra, which is doing some real magical business at the Kerala box office.
In fact, Prithviraj has once again proved his crowd-pulling capability with Ezra, directed by debutant Jay K. Despite being a film of a not-so-familiar genre, Ezra has been able to draw the crowds to the theatres, in large numbers.
Reportedly, Ezra that released in close to 125 theatres in Kerala, did make an impressive opening at the Kerala box office, with the film grossing a whopping abount of 2.61 Crores on its opening day. This by far, is the best opening day figures for a Prithviraj movie.

Amar Akbar Anthony (2015)
Amar Akbar Anthony, the multi-starrer directed by Nadirshah did make a fantabulous opening at the box office. Reportedly, the first day gross of the film stood at 1.65 Crores, thus providing Prithviraj with his best opening day figures for a movie.
Darwinte Parinamam (2016)
Darwinte Parinamam, which was one of the highly anticipated movies of Prithviraj in 2016, did have a promising start at the box office. If reports are to be believed, the film, which was released in over 100 theatres in Kerala, managed to gross an impressive amount of approximately 1.48 Crores on its opening day.
Paavada (2016)
Paavada, the first release of Prithviraj in the year 2016 did make a decent opening at the box office. The film, which hit a good number of theatres in Kerala approximately grossed 1.20 Crores on its opening day.
Oozham (2016)
Jeethu Joseph's Oozham, which released in 2016 was definitely big on expectations. The film, reportedly, grossed 1.16 Crores on its opening day. It was much below than what was expected, but still an impressive one considering the fact that the movie hit the theatres along with Mohanlal starrer Oppam.
Anarkali (2015)
Prithviraj starrer Anarkali came after the back-to-back successes of movies like Ennu Ninte Moideen and Amar Akbar Anthony. The hype associated with the movie was pretty huge and the movie made an approximate day 1 collection of 1.1 Crores at the Kerala box office.
Surprisingly, Ennu Ninte Moideen, which is the biggest hit in the career of Prithviraj, so far, didn't make it big on the opening day. The film went on to fetch it big at the box office on the later days.
Well, Prithviraj's latest release Ezra has now found a place in the all-time top 5 opening day grossers of Mollywood. Interestingly, the movie also went on fetch 3 Crores on its third day, which proves the surge in box office collections of the movie.
