FINALLY! Mammootty's The Great Father Gets A Release Date

The Great Father, the upcoming Mammootty starrer is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Mollywood. Now, the family thriller which is directed by newcomer Haneef Adeni has finally got a confirmed release date.

Recently, the sources close to The Great Father confirmed that the project has been scheduled to be released on March 30th, Thursday. The movie will be released in about 150 screens all over Kerala.

If the reports are to be true, the team is also planning to have a worldwide release for the movie considering its huge pre-release hype. However, the makers are yet to take a final decision upon the same.

Initially, The Great Father was planned as a January 2017 release. But the unexpected theatre owners strike and following incidents forced the makers to postpone the release of the movie, to January.

Mammootty is playing the central character David Ninan in the movie, which depicts the strong bonding between a father and his daughter. Baby Anikha appears as David's daughter Sara David in The Great Father.

Sneha essays the role of David Ninan's wife, Michelle David. Gopi Sundar composes the music. The Great Father is jointly produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Arya for August Cinema.
