WOW! The Great Father First Teaser Crosses 1 Crore Views

The first official teaser of The Great Father, the upcoming Mammootty movie had took the social media by storm, immediately after its release. It has already emerged as the most-viewed teaser of Malayalam cinema.

Now, The Great Father teaser has crossed 1 Crore views on social media, thus becoming the first ever Malayalam movie teaser to cross the prestigious mark. The team announced the news through the official Facebook page of The Great Father, recently.

The team released the much-awaited teaser directly on Facebook using a new method named 'cross posting'. The Great Father teaser is the first Mollywood teaser to be released using this method.

Later, a few other teasers including the teaser of Mohanlal's 1971 Beyond Borders were released using the same method. But, none of them managed to cross the record set by the first teaser of The Great Father.

Expectations are riding high on the project which is written and directed by newcomer Haneef Adeni, after the release of the highly promising official teasers. The second teaser of the movie was released recently.

Mammootty essays the central character David Ninan in the movie, which stars Sneha in the female lead. The Great Father is produced by Prithviraj, Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan, and Arya, for August Cinema.
