Lucifer, the Mohanlal starring movie which marks the directorial debut of young actor Prithviraj, is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects of Mollywood. Here is a bad news for the audiences, who were awaiting Lucifer.

As per the sources close to the project, the much-awaited movie has been postponed to 2018. The team decided to kick-start the project by the beginning of 2018, as director Prithviraj is yet to complete his acting commitments.

Initially, it was rumoured that Lucifer has been shelved, due to the busy schedules of Mohanlal and Prithviraj. Later, it was also reported that the team is considering another director for the project, due to Prithvi's unavailability.

But, writer Murali Gopy and producer Antony Perumbavoor slammed the rumours and confirmed that Lucifer is very much in the pipeline. The duo had also confirmed that the movie will start rolling by mid-2017, and be released for Onam.

However, now it has been confirmed that Lucifer will go on floors only by the beginning of 2018. Director Prithviraj is expected to complete his acting commitments by the end of 2017 and start the pre-prodction of Lucifer.
