Mohanlal, the complete actor is all set to play yet another different role in his career. As per the latest updates, the actor is appearing as an 85-year-old man, in the upcoming movie 1971 Beyond Borders.

Reportedly, one of the Mohanlal's roles in the movie, Brigadier Sahadevan is an 85-year-old retired soldier, who is also the father of Colonel Mahadevan. The actor is playing a double role in the movie.

1971 Beyond Borders depicts the story of the Indo-Pak war of 1971, through the viewpoint of Sahadevan. Interestingly, Mohanlal will also be playing the younger age of Bridagier Sahadevan in the movie which is set in two different time periods.

The movie, which is the four instalment of Major Mahadevan series, will feature the popular character Mahadevan as a Colonel who currently works for UN Peacekeeping Force. Mohanlal will be appearing in three get-ups in the film.

Major portions of the movie, which revolves around Bridagier Sahadevan were mainly filmed at the locations of Rajasthan and Punjab. The team is yet to reveal Mohanlal's look as Brigadier Sahadevan from the movie.

The portions, which involves the character of Colonel Mahadevan, were shot at the various locations of Georgia. 1971 Beyond Borders, which is a prequel to the first instalment of the series, Keerthichakra will hit the theatres in April.
