the
first
Indian
film
to
be
shot
using
the
8K
technology.
However,
the
news
hasn't
gone
well
with
the
movie
lovers,
as
there
are
no
8K
theatres
in
India.
In
a
recent
interview,
director
B
Unnikrishnan
revealed
how
the
8K
technology
has
been
used
in
the
big
budget
movie.
The
team
is
using
a
special
'Red'
camera
of
'Weapon
Helium
8K'
series
to
shoot
the
Mohanlal
starrer.
According
to
director
Unnikrishnan,
Villian
will
be
entirely
shot
in
8K
initially.
Later,
the
movie
will
be
'downscaled'
to
4K
and
2K
formats,
after
which
the
visuals
will
be
very
sharp
and
crystal
clear.
Most
of
the
movies
have
been
shot
using
the
digital
cameras
which
come
around
1.8K
resolution.
Later,
they
are
upscaled
to
2K
and
4K
formats,
which
causes
the
quality
loss
and
compression.
