Mohanlal Was The Only Choice For Ulahannan: Director Jibu Jacob

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, the Mohanlal starring family entertainer will hit the theatres on January 20th, Friday. In a recent interview, director Jibu Jacob revealed how the team roped in Mohanlal for the central character Ulahannan.

According to Jibu Jacob, the complete actor was the first and only choice for the role of Ulahannan in the movie. The director feels that Mohanlal is the only actor from the current slot, who perfectly fits into the character.

The actor has totally adapted to the character, and it is well-evident in his performance in the movie. Mohanlal has recently watched the film, along with his best buddy Priyadarshan and brother-in-law Suresh Balaje.

He is totally impressed with the final output and congratulated director Jibu Jacob, by stating that the movie was a magnificent experience. Jibu remarked that it is one of the biggest compliments he has ever received in his career.

The team decided to rope in Meena for the role of Ulahannan's wife Anniyamma, considering her exceptional onscreen chemistry with Mohanlal. Even though director Jibu was initially reluctant to cast Meena, he later realised that she is the best choice.

Aima Sebastian, the Jacobinte Swargarajyam fame actress and child Sanoop Santhosh, who essay the roles of Ulahannan and Anniyamma's kids Jiny and Jerry, are also said to be playing very important parts in the film.
