award-winning
director
finally
wrapped
up
their
much
awaited
political
drama
Sakhavu.
Lead
actor
Nivin
announced
the
news
through
his
official
Facebook
page
recently.
Sakhavu,
which
is
said
to
be
an
intense
political
drama,
will
have
the
actor
in
the
role
of
Comrade
Krishna
Kumar.
It
is
the
first
collaboration
of
Nivin
Pauly
and
Sidhartha
Siva
as
an
actor-director
duo.
The
duo
has
earlier
shared
the
screen
in
Puthiya
Theerangal,
in
which
Sidhartha
essayed
a
supporting
role.
According
to
Nivin,
he
initially
thought
that
Sakhavu
is
an
offbeat
film,
but
realised
that
he
was
wrong,
after
reading
the
screenplay.
Reportedly,
Sakhavu
depicts
the
story
of
the
young
political
worker
Krishna
Kumar,
and
how
his
life
changes
upside
down
after
a
medical
college
visit.
Jomonte
Suviseshangal
fame
Aishwarya
Rajesh
essays
the
female
lead
in
the
movie.
Sreenivasan,
the
senior
actor-writer
appears
in
a
pivotal
role.
Aparna
Gopinath,
Maniyanpilla
Raju,
Joju
George,
Binu
Pappu,
Gayathri
Suresh
etc.,
appear
in
the
supporting
roles
in
the
movie,
which
is
scripted
by
director
Sidhartha,
himself.
George
C
Williams
handles
the
cinematography.
Prashant
Pillai
composes
the
songs
and
background
score.
Sakhavu,
which
is
produced
by
B
Rakesh
for
Universal
Cinema,
is
expected
to
hit
the
theatres
in
April
2017.
