According to the reports, Oru Mexican Aparatha did gross above 3 Crores on its opening day and thus earned the recognition of being the first ever Malayalam film to recover the production cost on the very first day itself.
The film, directed by Tom Emmatty dealt with campus politics, love, friendship and much more. Tovino Thomas, who played the lead role in this movie has become one of the most talked about actors of Mollywood post the release of the movie.
