Parvathy, the talented actress has emerged as the most celebrated actress of her generation, with some exceptional roles. If the reports are to be believed, Parvathy has now also become the highest paid actress of contemporary Malayalam cinema.
According to some believable sources, the actress has raised her remuneration to 1 Crore, post the huge success of her latest release, Take Off. Earlier, Parvathy was charging around 30-35 Lakhs for a film.
Manju Warrier, who was earlier crowned as highest paid actress of M'town, has now been pushed into the second position. Manju is reportedly charging 50 Lakhs-1 Crore for a film. Nayantara, who charges 35 Lakhs per movie, is in the third position.
Parvathy, who made her acting debut with the 2006-released movie Out Of Syllabus. Even though she later appeared in a few promising projects including Notebook, Vinodayathra, Flash, etc., the actress failed to make a mark in Mollywood.
She made a strong comeback to Malayalam cinema, by playing the role of RJ Sarah in Anjali Menon directed blockbuster movie Bangalore Days. Her portrayal of the paralysed radio jockey earned highly positive reviews from all over.
The actress later appeared in Ennu Ninte Moideen and Charlie, in which she was paired up with Prithviraj and Dulquer Salmaan, respectively. Parvathy won the Kerala state film award for Best Actress, for her performance in the movies.
