Sidharth Bharathan, the young actor turned film-maker who has been on a break post his accident, is all set to make a comeback into direction. Sidharth recently announced his next project, through his Facebook page.

The director's next outing, which has been titled as Varnyathil Aashanka, will feature popular actors Asif Ali, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shine Tom Chacko, and Sharadudheen in the lead roles.

Varnyathil Aashanka, which is said to be an out-and-out comical entertainer, is produced by Aashiq Usman for Aashiq Usman Production. Popular theatre director-writer Thrissur Gopalji pens the script for the movie.

As per the latest updates, Varnyathil Aashanka will be widely shot at the various locations of Thrissur, Vadakkanjeri, and Kochi. If the reports are to be true, the team is planning to release the movie in August 2017.

Sidharth Bharathan entered Mollywood as an actor with the Kamal directed movie Nammal. He made his directorial debut with the 2012-released movie Nidra, which was a remake of his father Bharathan's classic movie, of the same name.

His second directorial venture, the Dileep starrer Chandrettan Evideya was widely appreciated by both the audiences and critics. It was reported that Sidharth will direct Mohanlal in his next, but the project did not materialised due to unknown reasons.
