Saloo George was the director of photography. Ouseppachan
composed the songs and background score. The song Mounam
Swaramayi, which was sung by KJ Yesudas and KS Chithra still
remains in the hit charts.
The movie was an unofficial adaptation of the 1990-released Hollywood film Heart Condition. Aayushkalam was later remade into Bollywood under the title Hello Brother, with Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Rani Mukherji in the lead roles.
