Christy Malayalam Movie Day 1 Box Office Collection: Malavika & Mathew Starrer Managed To Get A Decent Number
Malayalam movie Christy collects Rs 50 Lakhs at the box office on day 1 in India. The first day box office collection of Christy is quite high in comparison to other Malayalam movies released in the recent times.
Malavika Mohanan is the only female star from Malayalam film industry who managed to create such a huge hype for a movie where she plays the lead role. Though Mathew Thomas is famous in Malayalam Film Industry, Malavika is said to be the reason for the visibility of Christy Movie not only in Kerala but also in Tamilnadu. The film collects 50 lakhs on its first day. It is huge when considering its total production budget. The film is said to be made on 5 crores including promotions. Christy is the name of the lead character in the film. Christy is played by young actor Matthew Thomas.
The heroine is Malavika Mohan who is a notable actress in all major languages including Bollywood. Directed by debutant Alvin Henry, the film tells a different love story set against the backdrop of the coastal region. The makers say that this film, which is being prepared with the support of a solid story, is also a glimpse of a society.
The location of the film is the remarkable Poowar, a rare place where the lake and the sea meet. Joy Mathew, Vineeth Viswam, Rajesh Madhavan, Muthumani, Jaya S. Kurup, Veena Nair, Sminu Sijo and Manju Patros also star.
