Kudumbasree Travels – Movie Review

By Sampurn Wire

Kudumbasree Travels is a latest offering to Mollywood by debutant director Kiran, who has earlier directed many TV shows. The movie is releasing to 55 screens throughout Kerala.

Jayaram plays the male lead Aravindan, who is a family member of Chakkiyar kooth, which is an art form in Kerala. He lives in a remote rural place called Chithirapuram village, where people have never seen any kind of modern facilities. However, they gets the opportunity for Aravindan marriage with Awathy(Bhavana). The story has two other important supporting characters, one is Aravindan"s friend Nittar (played by Manian Pillai) and the other is his uncle Pachu (Jagathy Sreekumar).

They don"t want Aravindan to get married to that girl and try to prevent the marriage. The entry of Bhavana"s character brings twist in the story. As expected, love blossoms between the lead pairs. What happens next should be seen on-screen.

Aravindan will be seen sans his trademark moustache to give authentic look to his character of a chakkiyar. He has given excellent performance. Bhavana sizzles the screen through her cute looks. Jagathi Sreekumar and Manian Pillai have done justice to their role.
