Chandrettan Evideya Movie Review: Vintage Dileep Is Back!

Chandrettan Evideya is the Dileep starrer family entertainer, directed by Siddharth Bharathan. The movie stars Anusree and Namitha Pramod in the female leads. Chandrettan Evideya is produced by Shyju Khalid, Sameer Thahir, and Ashiq Usman under the banner Handmade Films.

Chandrettan Evideya Plot

Chandramohan (Dileep) is a government servant, who leads a suffocating life due to the over-possessive nature of his wife Sushma (Anusree). Later, Sushma gets transferred to another city, to the much relief of Chandran and he starts to live like a bachelor.

Then enters Anjali (Namitha Pramod), who is a dancer. Chandran falls in love with Anjali after a series of hilarious incidents. This forms the crux of the story.

Chandrettan Evideya Cast

Dileep plays Chandramohan aka Chandrettan impressively, but disappoints with the over performance at certain points. Anusree steals the show with the perfect portrayal of Sushma. Namitha Pramod, who portrays Anjali, has nothing much to do in the movie.

Mukesh, Suraj Venjarammoodu, KPAC Lalitha, Chemban Vinod Jose, Kochu Preman, Vinayakan and Veena Nair, who appears in the supporting roles, completely fits into their respective roles.

Chandrettan Evideya Script And Direction

Santhosh Echikanam's script perfectly narrates the familiar story line with the correct blend of all ingredients for a perfect entertainer

Siddharth Bharathan, the actor-director who enters the mainstream filmmaking with the movie, proves that he is here to stay.

Technical Aspects

Shyju Khalid's brilliant cinematography makes the movie a complete visual treat. Bhavan Sreekumar's editing is up to the marks.

Prashant Pillai sores with the rhythmic songs; especially with Vasanthamallike. The background score perfectly sinks in with the interesting plot and flow of the screenplay.

Verdict

The movie brings back the vintage Dileep in full swing. Strongly recommended to the audience who love to watch family entertainers.
