Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, which has Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead roles has hit the theatres today(July 7). The film has been produced by Prithviraj, Shaji Nadesan, Santhosh Sivan and Arya, under the banner of August Cinema.

Khalid Rahman, who is the brother of renowned cinematographer Shyju

The story of Anuraga Karikkin Vellam revolves mainly
around four characters. Raghu, is a police officer, who lives with
his wife Suma and their two children. Abhilash, who is the son of
Raghu, is an architect and a representative of today's youth.
Abhilash falls for a girl named Elizabeth. The film takes a close
look into the relations of these two couples, and at the same time
giving due importance to father-son bond.
Biju Menon appears as Raghu, a rough police officer. It is nice
to see Biju Menon in such refreshing roles and he simply excels as
Raghu. Asif Ali is definitely improving with each movie and he gave
a good performance as Abhilash. Asha Sarath as the mother, was an
apt selection. Kudos to debutante Rajisha Vijayan who simply
excelled in the role of Elizabeth.

The best part of the movie is the neatly layered screenplay by
Naveen Bhaskar, that carries the movie forward in a good manner.

Big round of applause for Prashanth Pillai for providing
soothing music. BGM of the film gels well with the movie,
maintaining that required freshness.
Cinematography & Editing
Cinematography is by Jimshi Khalid, who is also the brother of
Khalid Rahman. He has done a good job in capturing some frames that
suit the movie particularly well. Editing by Noufal Abdullah is
good enough and maintains the right pace.
Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, is a cute, simple movie with
feel-good factor. The film is much more than a romantic story and
delves deeply into importance of relationships, without going
preachy. A real good watch!
