Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai happened to be a cult film and it gave birth to two of the most eligible on screen stars- Swapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve. The film directed by Satish Rajwade, Mumbai Pune Mumbai 2 - Lagnala Yaychach was the sequel of this super hit love story where it simply conveys that their love story has now taken a new turn towards marriage.

Katyar Kaljat Ghusali

Words evade as Marathi film Industry's ace actor Subodh Bhave, in his debut directorial was successful to recreate the incredible magic of the popular musical play 'Katyar Kaljat Ghusali' that released four decades before and the effect you find is simply spellbinding even today. Subodh Bhave with his extreme efforts and knack for filmmaking had taken the movie so high, that it turned out to be a magical experience for the viewers this year.

Double Seat

Starring actors Mukta Barve and Ankush Chaudhary together for the first time onscreen in director Sameer Vidwans's 'Double Seat', the film turned out to be a complete hit. A middle class couple and the struggle involved in fulfilling their dreams means 'Double Seat'. Double Seat was a story about a dream every individual sees in his daily life. All praised by the audiences, the film continued its dream run and earned a spectacular start at the Box - Office.


Killa evokes an authentic sense of displacement of not fitting-in. It is as much as a story of friendship, trust, forgiveness and grief and the bond between a single parent and a child. It is one of those precious little watches that are capable of bringing out a few uncomfortable emotions that one otherwise keeps tucked in untouched corners of their heart. It is a joyride back to your carefree, childhood days too. It also teaches us that, things do change, but the sun always rises the next day with a new start.

Dagdi Chawl

Brilliant direction, engaging concept, apt music and excellent performances by all the actors, Dagdi Chawl had a perfect formula which was well appreciated by the audiences. An action packed entertainment drama starring actor Ankush Chaudhari and Pooja Sawant. Ankush seen in an aggressive avatar and fighting with goons in the film was surely a treat to watch as actor Makrand Deshpande played Arun Gawli in the film. After the overwhelming response received by Dagdi Chawl, Mangalmurti Films is coming up with its sequel Dagdi Chawl 2.

Timepass 2

Yet another sequel of super hit entertainment film Timepass, Ravi Jadhav directorial Timepass 2 continued the incomplete lovestory of Dagadu and Prajakta starring Priyadarshan Jadhav and Priya Bapat. The film was no less than a complete Bollwood masala film.


A biopic based on freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak's life. Director Om Raut and Kaustubh Savarkar, Lokmanya was a very thought provoking and well-researched piece of history put onscreen for the uber-tolerant commoners of today. While Raut and Savarkar's story provided a strong base, it was Subodh Bhave's brilliant portrayal of Tilak that kept the audiences rooted and engrossed throughout the film making it a blockbuster hit.


Good music with a tragic love story, 'Mitwa'directed by Swapna Waghmare-Joshi, also goes on the lines of few bollywood films of 80s and 90s. But, barring this, the film counts on good music, excellent performances and superior technical support, that made the film a super hit at the Box Office.

Coffee Ani Barach Kahi

Romance buffs are in for a treat with the film. Prakash Kunte's much awaited film had taken cine-goers by a pleasant surprise as it was running to full houses. Love stories are subjects that are safe territory for filmmakers but at the same time many of these films can go wrong if not given the right kind of treatment. Thankfully 'Coffee Aani Barach Kahi' refreshes your sense with the aroma of a perfect brew.

Tu Hi Re

Everybody loves a little drama mixed with action and romance in any film. What better way to illustrate love and drama in a Sanjay Jadhav film and 'Tu Hi Re' is a perfect blend of any larger than life Yash Raj Film, consisting of few twists, fights, romance, comedy and song sequences shot in exotic locations starring Marathi Industry's handsome hunk Swapnil Joshi along with gorgeous beauties Sai Tamhankar and Tejaswini Pandit.
