Asha Bhonsle will sing Mehbooba

With the news of RGV's Sholay making rounds in the media, here's a new addition to it. Asha Bhonsle will be singing the famous track 'Mehbooba O Mehbooba' in the new Sholay. The original song being sung by her late husband R.D.Burman, Asha says that when she got the offer, she thought she'd better sing it herself rather than allowing someone else to do it. That way, the damage to the original will be the least.

Apart from this, Himesh Reshammiya and Amitabh Bachchan are also recording a different version of the song for the film. This version has more retro feel to it. Interestingly, Himesh will also feature in the music video of the song along with Big B.
