Chandigarh (UNI): Punjabi singer Gursevak Mann was arrested today for allegedly taking photographs of a girl in the ladies' washroom of a pub in Panchkula district. Gursevak, who is brother of celebrated Punjabi singer and actor Harbhajan Mann, was arrested after he surrendered before the Haryana Police this morning--two days after he was booked on charges of outraging the modesty of a woman, Panchkula SP Balbir Singh told UNI.
Neha, a local girl, had alleged that Gursevak had clicked her photographs in the ladies' washroom of a Panchkula pub on Friday. The Chandimandir police had registered an FIR against Gursevak on Sunday and had launched a manhunt to nab the singer. Gursevak, who initially denied the charges and said he was being targeted for being a public figure, had been untraceble after the FIR was lodged. The singer, who has been booked under Sections 294 and 354, was later produced in a Panchkula court where he was remanded in judicial custody for two weeks.
