All about the happening singer Akriti Kakar

She is simply ravishing….she is heart-hitting….she is gorgeous….she is stunning….she is vivacious….she is curvaceous….she is sexy….she is none other than the coveted singer Akriti Kakar, who has carved a special niche in the hearts of her fans with her adroit singing skills.

Talent is what is found in abundance in this sparklingly beautiful young lass of the music world. In a short span of time, Akriti has become the centre of attraction of every musician. Every music director likes to work with her since they trust her magical expertise. A down to earth vocalist, Kakar is the talk of town today.

The singer with a spongy behaviour started her career at the very tender age of 5, the age where the kids just like to play, and understanding the notes of music appears much difficult for them. But Akriti was born a musician, which is why she understood the 'Sur Aur Lay" (musical notes) with much ease and aplomb.

Kakar got trained by her mother (who happens to be a post graduate in Hindustani Classical Music) and Guru Sh. Byomkesh Banerjee (late) in Hindustani Classical music. Akriti"s first performance on stage took place when she was five years old. From there her journey on the silken waves of music began to roll on. After that Akriti became a part of the 'Little Stars" (Anand Ji of Kalyan Ji Anand Ji duo) toupee. With this troupe, she stepped into the foreign lands for the first time delivering two tours.

Akriti Kakar took part in the much watched and famous music reality show, 'TVS SA RE GA MA – National Talent Hunt" (junior/children special) in 1998 and won the contest displaying her histrionics and prowess of the art letting the audience and the world know that she was there to make her mark in the music industry. She also won the most prestigious award from Sangam Kala Group (New Delhi).

Akriti did schooling from Springdales School, Pusa Road in New Delhi. She is a graduate from Delhi University.

Till date, she has released many music albums like: Ek Sapna (hit the stands during Last World Cup) Punjabi Pop Dhamaka 2000, Baby Doll Chapter 2 (song Rangeela Re appeared as a chartbuster remix), A-TEEN featuring the hit track Jal Bin Machli, Chicks on Fire (song Saaiya Jhootto ka bara sartaj) - Film Do Aakhen 12 Haath.

Kakar has dolled up many international ventures as well. The most notable is with Mattel & Sa Re Ga Ma HMV. That was an animated Barbie film named Barbie & The Magic of Pegasus, in which Akriti was featured as the Voice and Face of Barbie in a video song 'Hope has Wings". It was for the first time that an association churned out in India turned into a mammoth success.

Following next on the scene is 'High School Musical2" and that was the 2nd volume of the superhit 'High School Musical". This was the one that hit the youngsters" heart from tip to toe. Shankar Ehsaan Loy, the trio composed three fresh songs, for which she lend her voice.

Since Reality TV"s magic has been spelling magic all over the world and in India as well, Akriti Kakar has done with it also. She became a mentor of the actor Varun Badola in a show, 'Jhoom India" on Sahara One.

She showed her other side of talent when she anchored the popular show, 'Voice of India – Mummy Ke Superstar" in 2009.

For acting in films (since she is gorgeous and has all that an actress needs to step into films), Akriti says, 'It"s not her cup of tea'.
