Bjork has crooned her new song as part of a kids' film that is completely animated. The film is called Moomins And The Comet Chase. The track contributed by Bjork is called 'The Comet Song'.

Swedish-Finnish author Tove Jannsen is the creator of the Moomins. He created these characters way back in the '40s and almost within no time, they became extremely popular in Scandinavia. The film"s worldwide release will showcase the voice talents of Swedish stars Max Von Sydown, Stellan Skarsgard along with others. The cast would also include Stellan"s son Alexander along with Peter Stormare.

It has been revealed that singer Bjork is a massive fan of the Moomins, and therefore has composed 'The Comet Song'. She composed it after she collaborated with the popular Icelandic poet and author Sjon.

She has told BBC4 about the characters, and where everyone is permitted to be just as unusual and hyper as they are. None of the characters need to conform or obey rules so to speak. She even said that she has found traces of anti-authority in the Moomins, as she read the stories to her kids. She also adds that the characters are sans a sense of hierarchy and are all equal.

She has debuted this theme song and stop-motion clip on her official website.
