Indian Ocean to have a film on them

World-famous Indian contemporary fusion music band, Indian Ocean, has a little surprise for their fans.

India"s first music film, Leaving Home: The Life and Music of Indian Ocean will be releasing nationwide on April 2. It is based on the 19-year-old band. The film will be released exclusively by Big Cinemas in 6 cities in the initial phase. The movie will be about how the four men came together to form their band and create beautiful music. It will be 115 minutes long.

Indian Ocean is known for using acoustic guitars, bass guitars and tabla. Their music is generally a good blend of classical Indian music and energizing rock. They have just released 30 singles over the last 19 years.

Cartwheel Features is producing the documentary and Jaideep Varma is the director. It will be his first ever non-fiction film. According to Dhruv Jagasia of Indian Ocean, this movie will be like proof of the fact that the band has been supported and loved for all these years.
