A R Rahman This is where funny gets funnier. There have been endless speculations and criticism following the Common Wealth Games (CWG) right from incongruous work to corruption, that any and every ray of light seems spectacular. No wonder then that when a press conference was called announcing the composition that would be the Anthem for the CWG the media was abuzz.

AR Rahman whose composition would've been unveiled at this P.C. was especially flown down for the event. But the organising committee blew this one as well when they decided last minute to withhold the song for reasons unknown. After being urged by the media, Rahman did sing one line from the anthem "O Yaron Yeh India Bula Diya".

It was last Sunday that the Group of Ministers had approved the Rahman's song after a meeting which was headed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. It was a song that took the Oscar winner six months to compose. At the press conference, Rahman said that he had cancelled all his prior commitments to get this song done and it's special to him more than any of his previous work. He assured that the song would be released in ten days time.
