"But it is the fans to whom I send the most heartfelt apology. It was a stressful time," he added. Rahman has rescheduled shows in North America for September.
But on Tuesday he announced that shows planned for Zurich, Paris and Mannheim this weekend have been cancelled "due to circumstances beyond our control". However, he has promised to go back to the US to perform later this year.
