Kishore Kumar's birthday celebrated by fans

Noted playback singer and versatile actor, Kishore Kumar's 82nd birth anniversary was celebrated by large number of his fans at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh yesterday. The fans had organised various programmes dedicating to the veteran.

Despite continuous rains, his fans not only cut the cake to celebrate his birthday, but also remembered him by listening to their favourite songs sung by the legendary singer. Kishore Kumar was born in Khandwa and loved to title himself as 'Kishore Kumar Khandwa-wale.'

His fans here have set up an ultra-modern home-theatre system at his ''Samadhi'' on which one can listen to their favourite Kishore Kumar number by just putting a coin. It also provides facility to watch any video of his film or a song in the 60-seater auditorium.

Ramesh Chandra Gaur, Kishore Kumar's childhood friend from the neighbouring Khargone district demands that the Centre should award him Bharat Ratna in view of his contribution to the Indian cinema, specially in the field of singing.
