AR Rahman facing wrath of Christians, Jews over EDT song 'Hosanna'

Oscar Award winner musician AR Rahman, who is now promoting the music of the film Ek Deewana Tha with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, is facing the wrath of Christians and Jews over the track 'Hosanna'. These two communities have filed a complaint in which they have asked to remove the controversial song.

'Hosanna' is a prayer in the Bible and it is used by both Jews and Christians. The Catholic-Christian Secular Forum (CSF) is extremely upset with the use of word 'Hosanna' in the song. Now, the CSF has objected the word 'Hosanna' being used in the lyrics or vulgar picturisation of the song of the film.

In its complaint, the CSF has claimed that the song 'Hosanna' has hurt the religious sentiments of Christian and Jews. The Catholic institution has demanded an apology from music director AR Rahman, Fox Star Studio and Sony Music. It has also urged to withdraw the song from the movie Ek Deewana Tha.
