One thing that has got music across to millions is the fact that it is all about honesty. It is something that you can do that you can just let go with, to give yourself a break. The very same thing that makes you want to come back home from a tired day at work, kick back and relax with. While you find in it the element that you can share your pain and troubles, you find in it the perfect companion that would understand you the way you want to be understood, the perfect friend that you may have never had.

All this happens only when the music that is made comes driven out of, straight from the heart. To guarantee this the artiste generally goes through struggles until they establish themselves as musicians. This struggle defines the depth of "soul". So, the struggle is a very integral part of the music industry but the recent spate of talent shows has deemed that struggle almost unnecessary, if you are the next potential superstar. So people give themselves attributes that would make them the next superstar.

They are put up against an ideal situation when the competition they would be up against if they make it to be a professional in the field of music would very shockingly realistic. They are ground very well right from the auditions to actually winning them-which is a good thing. But that doesn't take over the absence of the very necessary struggle. What makes an artiste tough is the struggle. What inspires him is the struggle. What gives him hope when he goes through what might be the dark days of his career is that he has seen days that are worse during the struggle. The struggle gives him the hope for sure that this is his thing to do and that he can endure because it is time tested.

The talent show "pass outs" are judged on the basis of those who have gone through the struggle, whom have come out of it victorious. Those of them who have had the worst of it are those who were not the kinds to did like their previous generation. They had to prove that their style, a new style at the time, was good and they didn't have a talent show to take part in to show the world that.
