London (ANI): Rap star Kanye West"s new album 'Graduation" has beaten 50 Cent"s 'Curtis" on the music charts this week. This is a bad news for Cent who had recently declared that he would retire if Kanye beat him to the top spot. According to reports, 'Graduation" has sold over 200,000 copies more than 'Curtis" in the US. Kanye"s album is also said to have oversold 'Curtis" by 6,000 copies so far in the UK, reports British tabloid The Sun.
The statistics have appeared just days after Kanye lost all five categories of the MTV Video Music Awards for which he was nominated. The success of Kanye"s album will help him recover from the wounds he got at the award ceremony, reports the newspaper.
