Pictures
will
be
bringing
a
biopic
of
late
Nirvana
frontman
Kurt
Cobain
to
the
big
screen
after
snapping
up
the
rights
to
a
biography
of
the
rocker
penned
by
Charles
Cross.
Universal
has
acquired
rights
to
“Heavier
Than
Heaven," and
has
already
roped
in
David
Benioff
to
pen
the
script
of
the
as-yet
untitled
drama.
Courtney
Love
is
on
board
as
executive
producer
along
with
her
lawyer
Howard
Weitzman,
reports
Variety.
Eric
Fellner,
Tim
Bevan,
Ben
Silverman
and
Graham
Larson
will
produce.
The
movie
is
a
co-production
between
Working
Title
and
Reveille
Motion
Pictures.
Cobain
formed
Nirvana
in
1987
with
bassist
Krist
Novoselic
and
drummer
Dave
Grohl,
the
latter
of
whom
now
fronts
the
Foo
Fighters.
He
died
of
a
self-inflicted
gunshot
wound
in
1994.
