Washington (ANI): Rockstar John Bonjovi is making his comeback to Hollywood, but this time he will be producing a movie rather than starring in one. Bonjovi and his music managers at Vector Management, Jack Rovner and Ken Levitan, will adapt Jessica Blank's fiction debut Almost Home into a film. Blank has begun work on the screenplay along with her husband Erik Jensen, reports Variety magazine.

The narrative is about a group of homeless teens in Los Angeles struggling to find themselves. The book is to be published by Disney's Hyperion Books for Children on October 23. Besides Bonjovi, Vector management clients include Kings of Leon, Steve Winwood and Lyle Lovett. Their recording label has issued albums by Damien Rice and Herbie Hancock, among others.

Blank and Jensen previously teamed on the play The Exonerated, which was later turned into a film. The two also appeared in ESPN's The Bronx Is Burning, with Jensen portraying Thurman Munson. Bon Jovi has acted in the films Pay It Forward, U-571, and The Leading Man, besides starring in several television shows. This will be the first project on which he is working behind the camera.
